The
Hellacopters
“Rock & Roll is Dead”
Liqour & Poker
Music
Rock and Roll might be dead, but this record might prove otherwise. Blazing guitars, dirty Mick Jagger vocals, and short songs make this more appealing than that new Strokes record.
“Before the Fall” is a fast tempo garage rock attack that will get your toes tappin’. “Everything is on TV” slows things down and gets a little dirtier and a whole lot bluesier. Two songs in and you can tell that these Swedish rock gods deserve all the attention they get in Europe. The band has a cult following in the States, but this record should solidify the Hellacopters as the real deal and get them a wider audience.
Song
themes range from sex to drugs to rock & roll. Surprised?
If you’ve ever been remotely interested in this band this is
a great place to start. Other things of note include guest appearances
by members of The Hives and T.S.O.L.
